dunno??? the new tyre's on pete's and jamies and they're real quick round the track.
It'll definately be a bit closer than you think. The nosram mightn't even be running. Leigh might have to work.

me and ben were down there on sat having a drive, we did the mod to the tranny in the LST2 to gear it up, put the muggy tires on there and put the 7.5mm carb off of the other engine instead of the 6 that was on there and it was still getting a fair flogging, and me and dad were looking at the clutch on the LRP last night and it turns out two of the shoes were seized, so even at full pelt it was slipping, fixed that and took it for a tank just outside the house it takes off like a rocket, so i guess we'll see.

Nice one scottie, Being the same spec as the nosram though it should go a bit harder. Gave the RB a test run last night and holy shit this thing screams. I can certainly see what they are going on about, leaves the MAC.28 for dead.

this is going to be good, the way i see it brushless might be expensive to start with, motor/s, ESC, bats, good charger ect, but in the end it's made up for by not having to buy fuel, me and ad have spent about $600 this year just in fuel, what set-up are you running the the E-LST2's? i've seen people put the NEU 1515 1.5D in a revo and this was the result lol, pretty impressive, and with only 3500 MAH batts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=siBaaRF5TuQhey know the LST2's are gonna get mauled in with the truggies right? Last > first - I doubt if we will be hauled into anything this weekend as the cars are not setup yet. They run but we have never raced and still do not have a handle on the torque yet. Driving on the roof is interesting but it stops after a few feet:-) The conversion was from Fine Designs, we know it is not the best/most cost effective solution but it was a one stop shop and known to work. The motor quality is not as good as some motors but then they only cost around AU$140. We run 4,300 4S Lipos, some are running 5S in the States on the same setup. Currently getting about 12 minutes hard run time, the stats I posted elsewhere read:- With two stock LST2 including two speed and FD's XLT1/Hydra 120 conversions installed at the same time we ran some speed tests today. Measuring method is accurate to 1/5 kph so these are valid results, all tests were performed on bitumen surface:- My LST2 = Top speed 71.286Kph or 44.197 Mph Andy's LST2 = Top speed 70.588Kph or 43.764Mph

Anthony Thanks Anthony, we did drop by last Sunday and had a look around. We are setup to charge off the car batteries so will be OK. Sounds like we need to lower expectations a little, the trucks might scream but the drivers are lame:-)

Hi DELBOY
you should race most people are sill learning to race around a track anyway. the truck races are "organized" mayhem any way lol.
once u do a few races u can go in the truggy class makes it more fun for every one when it is even racing, at the moment thats all where aiming for.
also the track we use only uses 2 or three jumps, we don't acutely use the bmx track lay out witch makes it very fast and flowing.
hope to see u their

i was go put the RB C6BB in the 8ight T, it's basically the turbo head button version of the WS7 you got (and the WS7 is a 9 port, C6 is a 7), but $500 just for the engine, and then another $100 for a lower engine mount and extra again for a bump box, no thanks lol.
i was wondering the other day actually why the LRP was getting spanked by the nosram even though they're the same engine bar the cooling head, i guess i know why now, the only problem now is dad got a bit shitty when i mentioned threadlocking the locknut for the clutch bell, well didn't thread lock it and it rattled out just before, and very nearly put a hole in the fuel tank, so i might not make it this weekend if i cant find another bolt thats the right thread.

Off to do some maintainence Mick

hi guys.
Qikazz, Thanx for ya comments on my trucks. dont worry soon as i get there i'll be in to see ya. i was actually in ur shop when i was there in may and june this year for the birth of my son. i was looking at the losi mini-baja. was gonna get it there but decided to make the ultimate mini lol now i just gotta bring it back with me from the uk now.
i'm still waiting for the shells to arrive for them but i tried the mini-t on sunday with me bro and the ball diff has come lose. i'm wondering if there is a right or wrong way round for it to go. i'll have to check the instructions or i might try the mip ball diff i have for it see what that does. i might even try the standard geared diff. anyone got any ideas. (there is some serious power going thru this thing!!) dynamite c4 9.2KV motor and 11.1v 3cell 2000mah lipo so to my reckoning thats 102120RPM!!!
Mick, yeah the RB's are quick mate. r u guys runing .21 or .28 motors or r ya letting people run whatever they got at the moment?

Hi Jay, At the moment we're pretty loose with regard to classes. Basically we have 4 classes .21 1/8 buggy .28 1/8 buggy .28 and under truggy and monster truck open class
As ant said we're mainly trying for fairness. I'd say once things pick up we'll have A' and B' class. Any hopped up engine like the RB's will go straight into the A class.
Will be great to have someone with experience in this area, what are the std classes run at clubs? I know they try to keep the rules like the nationals so we'rr prob run a class like that.
The club will be starting soon. We're gonna go ahead and form it, charging an annual fee of $30 and a joining fee of $20. I've gotta do some research and find out who or how we get insurance like the MAAA and rc planes.
For those who don't know, the MAAA is an australian body that provide public liability insurance for it's members and venue of all rc plane clubs.
Cheers Mick

in the uk we have the BRCA, The British Race Car Assocation, or something like that. when u join with them they cover u for insurance, and at most clubs when u join with them it also incudes membership with them too. i think they came up with a deal with them for a slightly reduced price. this is good cos it means that everybody is covered.

Mick
I tried to tell you the Mach 28 are no comparison to the race engines especially the RB high end engines, the motor I had was the RB C5BB, which was not really any different to the C6BB in terms of power, the C5 and C6 are the best engine for big tracks as the produce more high end then any other RB buggy series motor.
Oh well those were the days, ive got my 1/5th now and I cant afford anything else.
Hopefully Saturday works out good for you all, sorry I cant be there.
Cheers

Also note guys, drop me a line when yas are chasing these goodies, I have quiet a lot of contacts, and always do my best to price match where possible. I know the Australian distributor for RB quiet well so I can get some good deals for the RB Engines. I know its hard to compete with international stores, but I can definatly try my best to compete with Genuine Australian stores. I really need everyone support, just pickup the phone or drop me an email before buying elsewhere and give me the opportunity to atleast try otherwise I wont be here much longer to help yas out at all Your suport would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Azz
